how to link one column to one cell to indicate calendar days

Asked by Norman Joseph

I would like to make a column of days of the corresponding month that is linked to one cell (row) which is the month that automatically changes when a new month is placed on that cell.

Thank you...

you'll probably get a faster response if you ask at the openoffice.org forum.

Hi Norman

Not quite sure what you are asking here!

Do you want a column populated with 1 to (possible) 31, depending on a cell which contains a month number. If you do, then its a bit fiddly, but

1 to 28 will always be there for all months.
29 is there for all months except for February when it is only there if the year is divisible by 4 and not divisible by 400.
30 is there if the month is not February.
31 is only there for Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Aug, Oct, Dec.

There is a function for getting the month from a date and a function that tests for a leap year, if you need them.

If this is not what you are looking for, please describe what you do want.

Tony
