Insert multiple images into an Open Office word processing document

Asked by Mr Bruce Donald Eckersley

I want to add several images into an Open Office word processing document, but when I try to do it, I can only insert one image, then the program seems to require further editing before it will allow me to add the next image.

Hi

I assume what you observe is the second image being put on top of the first image.

Here is the help text.

Inserting a Graphic From a File
1.Click in the document where you want to insert the graphic.
2.Choose Insert - Picture - From File.
3.Locate the graphic file that you want to insert, and then click Open.
By default, the inserted graphic is centred above the paragraph that you clicked in.

As you see from step 1, you need to tell OOo where you want to position the picture. If you have no text yet, that can only be at the top of the page. However, you can always drag second and subsequent pictures into the place on the page where you want them, but you may have to insert page breaks, if you want more pages for them.

Hope that helps

Tony
