show differences between documents

I need a "diff" utility. I have 2 versions of a Word document, an original and a version after a coworker edited it with MS Word. How can I see the changes that were made? Note that I cannot tell my coworker to turn on tracking, as the changes have already been made.

Open one document in writer, then click Edit>Compare document... then selection the 2nd document. You will get a third document that contains the comparisons.
