Select the text you want to bullet and click on the bullets on/off icon in the toolbar then if the position isn't quite right, go to the format menu forth option down is bullets and numbering in the dialog that opens go to the position tab and you can change the exact position of the bullet. One thing I would say is that many of the programs you will use in Ubuntu have their own forums which will have people who are more experienced in that particular program. I find that if I start a project then when I have a problem I go to the faq and forum for that program I gradually get a feel for the program and it is easier in future.

Can you help with this problem?
