repeat rows in ooffice -calc

Asked by MaWi

Hi... I try to repeat the first line on every printed page and followed the instruction (Printing Rows or Columns on Every Page) word by word. However, having entered "$1" in the "Rows to repeat" area (manually or by clicking in the sheet as described in the help) and press OK I receive following error message: "Invalid Sheet Reference"

I'm using ooo-build 3.2.0.10, debian 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1 (english) on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Lucid Lynx (german)

any help is highly appreciated, even when I have a manual work-around (by just repeating the first row in the middle of my sheet)

I would have thought this would have been fixed by now...

https://bugs.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/+bug/374708

Can you please go to that bug and register your interest (i.e 'this bug affects me') and perhaps add a comment that it is still in the latest releases of OOo/Ubuntu

Meanwhile, this seems to be the work around:

1. Select Tools/Options... from the menu
2. In the left tree navigate to OpenOffice.org Calc/Formula
3. Click on the Arrow right to "Calc A1" to see the list of possible grammars
and select "Calc A1" explicitely from the dropdown list (even if it was already
selected)
4. Press "OK" to save

Tony
