I read in the MSA-Base Faq at http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/MSA-Base_Faq that this only works in the Windows version of OO.
Because Access depends on the Microsoft Data Access Components.

The MDB Tools project at http://mdbtools.sourceforge.net/ is a effort to document the MDB file format used in Microsoft's Access database package, and to provide a set of tools and applications to make that data available on other platforms.

You could try to convert the data on a OO MS Windows installation with the Microsoft Data Access Components installed and then moving the database to Ubuntu.

The MDB Tools project mentioned above provides a graphical viewer for mdb files. You have to run gmdb2, then load the file, since it isn't automatically associated with *.mdb files (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mdbtools/+bug/37440/)

Can you help with this problem?
