The spell checker and grammar for Spanish dose not function or detect any error.

To install the Spanish dictionary, do the following in the Writer:

1: Click Tools
2: Click Extension Manager
3: Click Get more extensions online

As I personally only speak english I have never encountered this problem, but my google search indicates MANY other people have had the same issue you are having.

The information on that link does not mesh with my open office word. Looks like it should but it's got me beat. Ian.
