Can't copy and paste drawing objects

I have drawn some shapes in Write, but when I try and copy and paste them nothing happens. This is true for Ctrl + C and Ctrl + P, menu selection of these commands and the right click menu as well

Hi Kris

Are you sure that the copy isn't just placed over the original, so it looks like the copy isn't there? Press Down Arrow while it is still selected.

Also you sometimes need to deselect the shape you are copying before you do Ctrl + V (which is paste - not Ctrl + P, which is Print) to paste the copy.

Tony,

It was the deselect before hitting Ctrl + V that did the trick. I have never come across an application that uses this work flow. Usually hitting Ctrl + V results in a new object being created and selected. Maybe something for the devs to think about??
