printer print niet

Asked by D.Schaap

Last week I did install Ubuntu 9.1 on my desktop. I already did use 8.4 on the laptop. Printing from the laptop was no problem. But with the laptop nothing but problems. Not only did the instalation of 9.1 overwrite windows, while I prescribed saving it, I have to tackel problems all the time. The last one is the printer. I have a dell-system, dimension 5150, with a dell aio photo 924 printer. Downlaoding and installing the software no problem. but printing: no way. What ever I try, no result. HELP!!!

Dear D. Schaap,

First power-ON the printer, after that the PC, and log in.
Using the default printing system CUPS, in the browser (FireFox) go to the location http://localhost:631/admin , and look for information about your printer... Mostly you can choose to ADD your printer here.

Lots of luck!

Can you help with this problem?
