Can't type in a time in

Asked by Steve Hanov on 2010-02-07

Binary package hint:

I need to make a time tracking table in writer. However, whenever I type in 8:00 it replaces it with 08:00:00 AM which screws up the table. I turned off all autocorrect and autocompletion options and it still does it. This makes useless to me.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see

To correct the format, select the column that you've entered the time, go to Tools > Number Format. Here, you can select the format you want the time to be displayed.

Can you help with this problem?
