Any chance of having voikko for OpenOffice 3.1. backported to jaunty?

Asked by Petri Savolainen

I am running OO 3.1 from launchpad PPA, on Jaunty (64-bit). I need 3.1 due to some critical bug fixes in it that are not in 3.0. OO is my only word processor that I use for work, and lack of Finnish spell checking for OO3.1 on Jaunty is thus a bit of a problem.

I can perhaps compile the voikko extension myself, if someone would kindly provide brief instructions. I have done a bit of research on the topic, but it seems to me this is not quite as trivial as installing dependencies from an apt repository & running "./configure, make, make install"...

Thanks!

Hi

Kosmic Koala is due out in just under a month so i would imagine that it will be in there. I don't know that any back-ports happen to anything other than Hardy Heron, the last LTS - but i could easily be wrong.

Hopefully someone can help better than this
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
