Getting new dictionaries into Ubuntu

Asked by Ian Beardslee

I've been able to successfully create a couple of packages to get en_NZ and mi_NZ dictionaries working. I've still got a bit of tidying up to do (change logs, copyright etc), but while I am working on that, what is the sanest process to get them upstream.

Hi Ian,
glad you've decided to contribute!

The best way to make sure everyone benefits from your work is to file a bug at the LibreOffice bug tracker and to submit your dictionaries there (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development), as well as filing a bug report here on Launchpad and on Debian's bug tracker. This way, when your dictionaries are accepted by the LibreOffice project, we can ask the Debian team maintaining the spell-checking components to integrate your contribution as well.

Please do tell me the bug report numbers - I'll make sure everything is in order, as well as assist you to prepare the patches. Also, feel free to ask if you need further clarifications - the process is a bit complex, I've only summarized it here.

Thanks! I'm following the bugs and will add entries to the Debian and Ubuntu bug trackers as soon as your dictionary is accepted by the LibreOffice project.

Can you help with this problem?
