rotate a picture

Asked by Steve Kreis

In open office Writer I need to rotate a picture from landscape to portrait position so that it is not shown on its side. All I see are options that flip it completely over.

This feature doesn't exist, despite many users asked it : http://fr.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3545

Thanks glandux! They need to add this feature which is far more useful then the ones they have!

I confirm the need in writer.
In fact, we should have 2 features:
1- rotate a picture
2- read file information for picture orientation when importing within OOo (currently it does not respect this info, that's why I need to manually rotate my picture !)

Thanks.

Ditto on this feature. Pardon the flame, but HOW THE HECK DID THEY NOT ADD THIS FEATURE???!?? Okay, I'm calmed down now. I ask the question rhetorically, because it seems like the sort of thing that one logically should be able to do.

I'm not really mad at all. I'm merely trying to exercise the idiom, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" by squeaking very noisily.
