Why ubuntu's openjdk8 didn't follow the openjdk version?

Asked by zhang

Both RH and debian's openjdk8 have been followed up to version 332, but ubuntu is still version 312. Will ubuntu's openjdk8 be upgraded with openjdk?

If you report a bug then the package will be updated sooner rather than later. Ubuntu usually follows Debian's packaging.

But debian sid has already been updated to jdk8u322

https://packages.debian.org/sid/openjdk-8-jdk

Debian sid is rolling release. Not stable and only for the brave
