Openjdk update

Asked by Robert

Hi

Is there any chance to add OpenJdk 8u102 binaries to the Xenial's repo (currently supported version is 8u91-b14-3)?
OpenJdk 8u102 has been released in July and it seems that number of defects have been fixed in the meantime: https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/projects/JDK/versions/18506

Regards,
Robert

I suggest you report a bug. If the bug and security fixes are significant then the package will be updated sooner rather than later

As a workaround you should be able to install that version from a PPA, see https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+ppas?name_filter=openjdk-8 for possible candidates

Can you help with this problem?
