hot potatoes

Asked by Hamish Darby

I would like to request better link with external package "hot potatoes"
http://hotpot.uvic.ca/
hot potatoes packages quiz questions compatible with well supported MOODLE learning management system.
Moving the downloaded zipped java file into root/apps is easy when you know how.
I wonder if it could be made easier

On second thoughts, I have no idea how to install the package.
I tried complying with the instruction at the homepage which says
- "Drag the JavaHotPot6 folder to the Applications directory on your computer."
with this result

a@Starfish:~/Downloads$ sudo mv <javahotpot61.zip> /usr/share/applications
bash: /usr/share/applications: Is a directory
a@Starfish:~/Downloads$

the file did not move

At this point, do you still need help getting Hot Potatoes working on your computer, or do you now want help in requesting that an Ubuntu package be provided for Hot Potatoes (which seems to have been your original issue)?

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Hamish Darby for more information if necessary.
