Precise openjade doesn't build with any extant version of opensp

Asked by Sean McAfee

In trying to build Precise openjade, I get many errors of this form:

DssslAppMessages.h:52:1: error: 'xModule' is not a member of 'OpenSP::MessageFragment'

Searching for "xModule" in the Precise opensp source, I find only references in the files ChangeLog and NEWS which seem to suggest that that name has been removed. For example:

[...] this patch reworks the way in which MessageFragments identify the module within which their text resides by replacing the (libModule, appModule, xModule) enumeration with a pointer to a global, opaque MessageModule object. [...]

I find only the same non-code references even when I go all the way back to Dapper's version of opensp--which after all is based on the same upstream version. In any case, I'm perplexed as to how anyone could have successfully built openjade in the recent past. I'd be grateful for any tips regarding how to go about it.
