Is this just the server, or the client library also

Asked by Kevin Fries

OpenChange includes a server, as well as a mapi implementation for Linux clients such as Evolution. In our office, our IT department just upgraded to Exchange 2007, and us Linux users have been screwed ever since. I would like to know if the libraries are included without having to install the server, so that I can now connect (as of the 30th) to our Exchange server again via Evolution.

Thx

Hi Kevin,

Yes you can install the libraries without to install the server. I think openchange_1.0~svn679 may be an outdated OpenChange snapshot if you intend to use it for evolution-mapi plugin compilation (they are using ~ rev 705). You may want to look at the evo-mapi plugin requirements on http://go-evolution.org.

Cheers,
Julien.
