Lack of documentation

This project is really awesome.
The problem is the lack of documentation on creating a new keyboard layout. Current documentation which is available as a .html file looks incomplete because it does not tell about the special keys such as shift, enter, move, etc. I have searched in Google about its documentation, but haven't found anything yet.
Can you please direct me to a good place to start?
