Mint is not supported by the Ubuntu community in any way. It's support community is entirely separate from Ubuntu's. None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported here.

I suggest you post on the Mint forum here:

Hi Andrew,

thank you...

It seems that here on (Ubuntu) Launchpad is the (only) place to discuss issue about onboard...
I am starting out with Linux, so am not sure if "Mir" is something special about Mint, as far as I know Mint is 100% based on Ubuntu.

I also do not want to be drawn into things in between Linux flavours - I don't care if someone likes Ubuntu or Mint or Arch better... I understand that there are some technical differences (the now called-off Unity), but I could as well use Kubuntu if only it was stable...

So I hope that this place, even if it is called Ubuntu Launchpad, since it is the only place where the developers of onboard seem to meet and one of them sent me here, is tolerant to users of other flavours? In the Mint community there will be no developer, as far as I know..

The minute the KDE plasma works 100% for me on Kubuntu, I am back to Ubuntu

But for now, I am looking for the place on the internet to get expert help with onboard...

Am I at the right place here?

Thx

Dan
