qt-at-spi plugin query

Asked by Zen25000

Hi,
I package onboard for Mageia, but I am not a developer and am confused about the need or otherwise for qt-at-spi-plugin that we have always 'Suggested' for onboard.

Changes to the plugin docs for Qt5 seem to indicate that it is 'part' of Qt5.

Does this mean that the plugin is no longer required (since most packages are moving to Qt5), or should it still be recommended for those that have not yet be ported?

Is it now embedded in part of Qt5 or is it still needed in addition to Qt5?

Another issue is that the plugin no longer builds against Qt4 since the last commit (428) and I am wondering if it should now be build against Qt5 (we are currently using 5.6.0-beta).

It seems contradictory to build against Qt5 if it is only required for Qt4 hence my confusion :\

I have tried to contact the plugin developer twice via email about the build fail with no reply over the last few months.

Any help will be appreciated - maybe marmuta will see this as we have collaborated in the past.
