launch onscreen keyboard at boot

Asked by David

I have setup a touchscreen monitor (drivers, calibration tool, config. utility) to work with Lucid

In order to support sporadic direct data entry, I have installed Onboard (an onscreen keyboard for GNOME) - by adding it to the startup applications, it's always there...

this works great

How do I setup an onscreen keyboard during BOOT, to support touchscreen data entry for authentication?

ok my bad

For those of you that come across this - the Universal Access icon on the lower panel (in Lucid) can be used to access a config menu; one of the items listed allows enablement of onscreen keyboard during authentication

(Universal Access is a moniker for assistive technologies for improved human-computer interface for physically impaired etc.)
