Asked by cico

Hello,
The omegat (CAT tool) package in ubuntu (and debian too) is very old.
Anybody can take care of this and update to current stable version?
Thank you! :)

You have to know that Ubuntu is taking over several packages from Debian, and also Debian also is only on 2.3.0.1

There is already a bug report in Debian https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=737369 requesting an upgrade, but apparently the developers did not work on an updated package yet.

To stimulate the process, you might create a bug report in Ubuntu, requesting that the current version be packaged for Ubuntu.

If you are using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit or newer, please try this installation procedure:

Can you help with this problem?
