Upgrading your home automation and alarm system to use two WIKO Riff 3 Plus phones connected via Bluetooth to an Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS system, leveraging ofono for calls and SMS, requires careful setup. Initially, you need to ensure that both phones are properly paired with your Ubuntu system through Bluetooth. This involves setting up ofono to manage the phones, which can handle calls via one SIM. However, managing calls sequentially from two SIMs and reading SMS from both devices adds complexity. Achieving seamless SIM management and SMS retrieval requires configuring ofono to recognize and switch between both devices. Since standard ofono documentation might not cover such a specific use case directly, exploring ofono's scripting capabilities for SIM selection alike https://smartsimregistration.net/ and SMS management, or considering a custom script that interfaces with ofono's API, could be necessary. Moreover, ensuring that your Asterisk setup can communicate with ofono to handle calls and messages through this new arrangement is crucial for a smooth transition.
