Is there any way to get nVidia drivers v390 working in Mantic?

I upgraded my Core i7 Thinkpad T240 (Intel HD3000 + nVidia Quadro NVS 4200M) from 23.04 to 23.10.

My discrete GPU no longer works, because there is no package for v390 of the nVidia driver any more.

I am sorry but I do not understand this answer.

[1] It's not my bug.

[2] Mantic did not warn me; there is still time for a warning to be added to Noble for people coming from Jammy.

[3] Where for some reason it is necessary to migrate to 24.04, configuring Nouveau to replace the old drivers is still feasible. As it is, the old nonfunctional driver was left without any warning.

Nvidia has a driver.

I am aware of that. It was included in Ubuntu up until 23.04. It was removed from 23.10, because it does not work with kernel 6.5. This is described in the Ask Ubuntu thread I linked to.

I did my research before asking. I consider that basic due diligence.

I see that the graphics driver PPA never uploaded a version of 390 that works with kernel 6.5 by the time Mantic was released. I put a version with the patches in: https://launchpad.net/~dtl131/+archive/ubuntu/nvidiaexp
