I suggest you report a bug. Utopic is not ready and not stable.

Bad news for you, there is no plan to provide nvidia-graphics-drivers-173 for Ubuntu utopic and later:

nvidia-graphics-drivers-173 has been confirmed by nvidia that they will not update it to the new xserver ABI and it is abandoned.
