where did https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-openstack-dev/ubuntu/+source/nova go?

Asked by Olaf Seibert

https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-openstack-dev/ubuntu/+source/nova used to be the git repo where the ubuntu version of the nova package was made from, but now it redirects to a login page. After login, you only get a page with

Repository '~ubuntu-openstack-dev/ubuntu/+source/nova' not found.

What happened?

Same for cinder...

Glance is still at https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-openstack-dev/ubuntu/+source/glance so I don't understand what is going on.

It is back, since several hours.

I discovered https://ubuntu.social/@launchpadstatus but it didn't list this outage... even though it lasted for several days.

Hi Olaf,

There was an embargoed CVE in progress during the past week. That is the reason why the repositories were changed to private. They've been switched back to public now.

Thanks,
Corey

Hi Corey,

thanks for the info! That makes sense. It had me worried for a bit, but this explains it.
Let me take the opportunity to thank you for the endless work you're doing on the openstack packages!

Cheers,
-Olaf.
