What version of Jaunty are you running? Or are you running Notify-OSD on Ibex?

This was a bug, but my impression was it was fixed. The Notify-OSD application should be playing the sound of the application that is notifying you of the event.

I am also linking the bug of the report that was initially filed about this. If it is still occurring for you, please go to the bug report and let the maintainers know that it is still happening.

I'm running jaunty
No, my question is different: I want a sound common to ALL bubbles, such as a system sound. I tried to change some sounds in system->properties->sound menu, but it didn't help.

notify-osd is not yet supporting sound. Supporting it is on the wishlist, but with a very low priority. Usually the application triggering a notification plays a sound already (IM-clients). That's one of the main reasons for the low priority of this feature.

Can you help with this problem?
