Asked by Stoney

I've just added the NoteEdit program, but when I click on the pulldown menu to get the NoteEdit Handbook, an error message says that it is not avaiable.

NoteEdit is installed and runs. Timidity is installed. Its window
appears, although I don't know enough about it to test whether it "runs."

The problem is that I can't get NoteEdit to produce sounds.

maybe you need to change some settings in the app like souns system (ALSA / Pulse etc)

I havent used the app. have you found any guides online? Is it a known bug?

There are several questions from people who couldn't get NoteEdit to
produce sounds. The answer in Launchpad was to install Timidity, and
have NoteEdit refer to it, which is what I did. Still no sound.

I'd log a bug. Maybe someone else can field this question.

Can you help with this problem?
