dotted half-note (or minim)

Asked by ucesna

How do you insert a dot (next to it, not underneath) to a half-note (minim)? There are a serie of pre-dotted notes ready to be inserted but it seems that the half-note (minim) has been forgotten.

Thank you.

It seems how you do this is you click on the dotted quarter note on the far left, and then you click on whatever duration you need on the right.

So if you need a dotted quarter then you click on the dotted one (and it will be grayed) and then you also click on the quarter note on the right (and it will also become grayed).

So then if you need a dotted half note you click on the dotted quarter on the left and then you click on the half note on the right.
