Bug being ignored for 1+ year now ... How to get attention?

Asked by scorp123

In July 2008 I reported a bug regarding missing NFS mount options .... and the bug has been ignored ever since. No qualified responses. The status is still "New" and "Undecided".

So ... after having waited 1.5 years and after having been very patient and what not, how exactly do I get _ANYONE_ to even look at the bug and do something about it, e.g. forward it upstream or whatever?

Suggestions appreciated.

I think you should contact some admins in freenode: #ubuntu-bugs (briam murray.)

Confirmed.

One reason for being ignored may be the long bug description. Often it's better to have a short description that just tells what is wrong, how to reproduce it and the package version affected.
