Eth0 and Wlan0 no internet

Hi Guys,
My wlan0 is connected to my router with DHCP and my eth0 is connected to a single computer with manual settings for file sharing only. For some reason it's resolving name servers but it doesn't want to ping. Should I be changing my routes?
I found that the network settings manager wouldn't allow me to set my eth0 manually unless I specified a gateway address, thats pretty unhelpful when you don't need it.

Managed to reset my route So problem all solved.
Still seems stupid that the network manager ap changes your default gw when you already have one. Does anyone know why it "requires" a gateway when setting eth0 manually?
