Hi
I am having Ubuntu 8.04. Today i changed my wired network settings from roaming to DHCP. after that whenever I start network-manager (nm applet) it doesnt show any available network interfaces.
I don't know if I have to change /network/interfaces file for that and how to change it?

It's normal, network manager only shows and manages roaming interfaces. You could use gnome-network-admin to accomplish network management.
