Possible to increase verbosity of wpa_supplicant?

Is it possible to change the parameters for wpa_supplicant without recompiling network-manager? Currently (9.04 Beta) it is run as follows:

/sbin/wpa_supplicant -u -f /var/log/wpa_supplicant.log

I need the supplicant to be started with -d or even -dd.

To answer my own question:

Configurable in /usr/share/dbus-1/system-services/fi.epitest.hostap.WPASupplicant.service
