network is not loading at start up in ubuntu 8.10

i installed ubuntu 8.10. network manager works fine. i configured my dsl connection with username and password using sudo pppoeconf. it works fine for the first time alone. the next time i restart my lap network doesnt loads on startup. i reinstalled ubuntu 3 times problem remains the same. help

Did you tried to configure your DSL with Networkmanager? There is an option to connect automatically.
