wireless internet abruptly stopped working

Asked by Meigs

I am running Intrepid with the latest updates (update daily).I was online and everything was going great, but my connection stopped responding. I disconnected and tried to reconnect as that helps sometimes. Now it has been 5 hours and I still cannot connect. Everyone else here using wireless is getting access normally and I can get a connection when hard-wired in, but my wireless always freezes when it gets to the point of requesting a network address. The driver I am using is bcm43-fwcutter. I attempted reinstallation of the driver and firmware as I thought that was the problem, but it did nothing. Could anyone shed some light on my situation? I would greatly appreciate it.

Optional (you need Windows drivers, on Terminal type and press enter):
sudo apt-get install ndisgtk

I just reimaged my system and it is working. I have no idea why it acted that way. Reopen if you want, but there is no longer an issue for me.
