network-manager (v0.7) not working/recognizing connections after a complete update of ubuntu (v8.10)

Asked by diraol

I've downloaded the latestes ubuntu 8.10 amd64 cd image from the ubuntu server (globo.com Brasil repos) and installed it on my notebook.
Since i've finished the installation, the network-manager was working just fine, it has recognized the ADSL Modem, and after configuring the ADSL connection using the "pppoeconf" command on the terminal, i've got connection to internet and the network-manager has recognized it.
But after updating/upgrading the system with the GUI actualization tool, the network-manager just went crazy and stopped recognizing all networks. Including the wifi ones. It says that the wired device is "unmanaged", but configuring by the terminal i can get my connection working (i'm typing from my notebook at this moment).

Sorry about my english! =)

I seems to be a problem with the last update. The version installed at this moment is the "NetworkManager Applet 0.7.0"

Thanks!
