Hi,

Please follow the instructions in the following guide:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DialupModemHowto/Huawei

The vodafone-mobile-connect-card-driver-for-linux program even works for my 3G modem, which is not a Huawei modem....

Regards,

Mark

Should it not be possible to connect without extra software in 8.10?

My Huawei E220 was found automaticly and I get a configuration assistant. There I am ask for country (Sweden) and provider (Telia as well), then it tries to connect but will not be connectet. Do I have to dissable PIN? I tried with canging configuration and just adding PIN but no better result. I Sweden the Huawei E220 is used with HSAP-update (7,2MBit) in firmware, might that cause the problem?
When I first connect to Telia within VMWare-session on XP and I get a connection on return.

Hi Mark,
Off cause it works just turning off the PIN-code! Thanx for help!

Some nice to have features:
It does not work writing in PIN in configuration and I am quite sure that the PIN-request was implementet att the beginning men then disappered.
Then it is not full speed, only standard 'UMTS' not 'HSDPA' which is supported by the unit.

Regards
Stefan
