dbus .service file

Asked by Michael Weichert

Hi,

I'm trying to play with RBus (ruby implementation of DBus) and noticed that the dbus .service file is not packaged with network-manager or network-manager-gnome. Is this a bug, or will the .service file be included in future releases or another package?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
If you can make a suitable service file and attach it to a bug report (on network-manager) that would be nice.
Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea how to do that. :(

If you run "locate .service" you'll find .service files from other programs. They don't seem to be complicated. Maybe you can try to make one and see if that works with RBus.

Hi,

I ran into this issue when trying to communicate with network-manager through DBus. The problem is that you're connecting to the session bus. Network manager requires that you connect to the system bus.

Can you help with this problem?
