NetworkManager crash after upgrading

Asked by Nelly Mostajo

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04
After upgrading, I lost any wireless or wired connection. I can't connect my computer. When I look for the problem it says NetworkManager Crash.
Do I need to download another package and install it?
Before upgrading I was able to connect to a wireless connection, but when I was trying to put the additional driver for a wired connection (because is the only way of connecting at my dorm) wasn't working. That is why I upgraded the Ubuntu, thought that mine was too old (10.04)

Please first try installing wicd as a replacement for NetworkManager (using a wired Internet connection).

If that does not help, then I suggest performing a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS from a LiveCD session.

It could be that the upgrade procedure did not work in your case....

Can you help with this problem?
