Comment 35 for bug 908380

Peter, first completely (including the password) configure your hidden
wifi network connection via 'Edit Connections' in networkmanager.
Once you have done this you can connect via the commandline with: sudo
iwconfig eth1 essid 'your hidden networkname' . This assumes that the
wifi interface is called 'eth1'. If this is not the case substitute
'eth1' with the interface name you found with typing iwconfig in the
terminal.
