enter this line on terminal
sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf
then enter your password if propmpted
make changes you want to and save them with ctrl+o
i have this on my laptop working ok:
~$ cat /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf
[main]
plugins=ifupdown,keyfile

[ifupdown]
managed=disabled
