The VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.vpnc' was not installed

Asked by Hawk

I am using the network-manager-vpnc plugin for arm on natty(imx515) but its not working.

installation is done using "apt-get install network-manager-vpnc".

network-manager-vpnc-gnome and vpnc is also installed. I can import my cisco vpn profile just fine but when tried connecting the following error occurred:

NetworkManager[5154]: <warn> connection (2) /org/freedesktop/NetworkManagerSettings/1 failed to activate: (2) The VPN service 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.vpnc' was not installed.

The same profile work perfectly on an intel machine.

It turned out that the issue was due to my self-compiled network-manager with put the vpn configure directly under /usr/local.
