Please backport package to Jammy LTS for user-agent capability

Asked by Hoffmann

Cisco changed the server so that the UserAgent-header needs to exist and include the string "anyconnect".
The field is configurable in openconnect's package binary but can't be set in network manager openconnect 1.2.6
Backporting the package to Jammy LTS would be highly appreciated.

Best wishes

Please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports for the process of backporting.

Is it really necessary to backport the newest version to jammy or can it be sufficient to just implement a user agent string modification?

I suggest that you create a bug report, describing the change that Cisco did and the consequences for the users on Ubuntu. The developers will then decide how to deal with it.
