Wireless card not working

Asked by csguru

Wireless connection won't work, I have set it up with all the correct info and no results, I add my SSID, keep mode as Ad-Hoc, Security is set to 128bit passphrase, and I add my p/w....Nadda.

Does Ubuntu send the MAC addy the same way widows does? I do MAC filtering in my Cisco 1200 AP.

HELP..

Thanx

In your debug steps I would suggest you to first try without encryption or MAC filtering. When this will work you should then add the encryption and the MAC filtering but one at the time.

For the way to send the MAC address, it the same in all OSes because its defined by the Ethernet standard.

Can you help with this problem?
