Sudden system freeze after network disconnect and re-connect

Asked by Michal Dziczkowski

My system: Ubuntu 15.04 64-bit, LiveCD

I have a question because I'm not sure with package this problem apply.

After configuring Wifi, I had to restart it because of some connection problems. After disconnecting, I had selected my wifi connection to re-conect and Ubuntu has totally stopped to response and forced me to hard reboot.

Does anyone has any idea what could be the problem?

surpassing questions: no, I cannot install the system on disk because of two reasons:

1. I need to restore some deleted files from the target disk before doing a backup

2. There is a problem with ubiquity with will become by me reported as bug

What WiFi chip are you using?
Does the system have a make and model?
