Can you manually run it yourself?

HI Spencer,

I noticed this same bug when booting the Lubuntu 14.04 LTS LiveUSB session.

I think the developers forgot to include the network applet when releasing this newest release.

I suggest reporting this as a bug using this procedure:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs

I ditched Lubuntu and switched to Xubuntu which DOES have the network applet.

Regards,

Mark

Hi

You can run it yourself and the icon appears in the bottom menu bar on the screen.

This issue is why doesnt it stay saved. On multiple machines this has happened now so everytime I reboot the machine, i have to go to
Lubunto Start Menu -> LXSession config -> core applications -> Network Gui -> and enter 'nm-applet' and click reload

There are ugly workarounds, but no permanent solutions mentioned here:

I suggest subscribing to that bug report.
