Support for 802.1x EAP TLS private-key-password-flags

Asked by James Paton-Smith

Ubuntu 20.04.3 - 5.11.0-38-generic

Our corporate network uses 802.1x authentication for wired connections and we're testing the use of netplan to configure all the right settings.

One problem, however, is that there doesn't seem to be a way to specify 'client-key-password-flags' via netplan yaml. Our client certificate is not password protected and we'd like to simply disable the client-key-password setting with the use of flags.
This can be done with nmcli, but doesn't seem possible with netplan.

Is support for this planned for future releases?
