Started up computer and my background and icons gone.

Asked by Eileen Rose

This is the error that pops up:
Adding client to server's list failed, CORBA error: IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0

Please note: on start up my desktop is now only showing a computer icon and a trash icon.
