why isn't there a progress window while copying and pasting stuff

There is for me...
If I start multiply copy and paste for files/folder they end up in the same progress window.

Are you using Karmic 9.10 or something else?

there is a progress window while copying and pasting but no progress window when using the "send to" to copy stuff

Not a bug, but's been suggested as a feature since there is no progress bars for "send to".
Looks like its being made.
